Here is a photograph of a man involved in a reenactment of the good old days of baseball. What do you see?
Susan says, “This is a great illustration of how the good old days where not so hot. Or rather that in the good old days, they really didn’t know how to dress for a hot day. Look at the wool pants and hat, the heavy linen shirt. I am sure that nine innings never felt so long. And didn’t they play with gloves that were little more than padding from the sting of the ball? Sometimes today looks pretty good. I think a good use of this photo would be to illustrate a discussion on innovation. Or perhaps on the toughness and true grit of our ancestors….”
Lucia says, “I could have made this look like a vintage photo to match the historic baseball scene. But I decided to keep the photo as shot to bring out the colors and textures of the old-fashioned uniform. I like the idea of a period piece wrapped in modern technology.”
What do you see in this photograph. Is there a story here for you? We believe that presentations can be improved by the addition of photographs, especially to illustrate a good story.
