Here are two goats in a wheelbarrow. Intriguing? And thereby hangs a tale….
Susan says, “Goats! How and why did they end up in this wheelbarrow. One goat looks skyward for the answer while the other goat has adopted a bleak, thousand-yard stare. This photo is the perfect starting point to discuss how did we get here? I can imagine using this photo to bring a group together for a soul-searching discussion about the events that have brought trouble to an organization. Using the goats as a visual gives the process, especially if it is a serious one, a dollop of humor. Thank the goats for making this discussion a little bit easier.”
Lucia says, “When I saw this scene I laughed out loud. Why? I’d never seen goofy goats in a wheelbarrow – they looked so out of place. It was unexpected to me, the observer. On the other hand, the goats looked very comfortable and acted as if this were normal behavior their kind of animal. You could use this to start a discussion about the different ways of looking at an issue or being open to the unexpected or how seeing something from the outside may look different than seeing it from the inside. I love what Susan has made of this photo. It made me see it in a whole new light. Ultimately, I created it simply because it was funny.”
What does this slightly off-kilter photo say to you? Can you imagine how you might use it in a presentation?
