A child on a swing. Provocative, unknowable? Let’s find out.

Susan says, “I love to use photos of children as the impetus for a good story. This little child is a deep mystery wrapped up in his hoodie, motionless on a park swing. What is he thinking about anyway? Could it be a daydream?  His legs are too short to reach the ground so maybe he is just waiting for a push. His stillness is intriguing and the emptiness beyond him doesn’t answer any questions. I say, ‘Good day, sunshine!'”

Lucia says, “This little boy had been in constant motion until I captured a moment of unusual stillness. Of course, I had to move quickly before he went off again. I wanted to elicit a contemplative mood. Therefore, I’m please by what wrote, Susan.”
