You don’t have to be a comedian to use humor in a presentation. The right photo can do the work for you.
Susan says, “The melty, floppy tires, the skinny, fragile frame and the teeny, tuning fork handlebars tip you off that this is a bike that will never be ridden. Here we have the essence of Bike with comic variance. It is because we are familiar with the requirements of a properly functioning bike that we recognize the structural failures inherent within this bike and can see the humorous intent of its creator. Humor is a welcome addition to a presentation. The right photo can fill the bill for you. You can’t help but smile at this photo.”
Lucia says, “Yes, this is a funny rendition of a bike, and the setting adds to its humor. It’s leaning against a fence as if it were an actual functioning bike carelessly left there as its owner ran off to meet friends. It was easy to miss. Nothing drew attention to it. It almost blended into the background. But when I did notice it, it made me laugh with delight. Very clever.”
