Here’s another photo that has prompted different stories from each of us. Please tell us what comes to your mind as you look at this photo of a young girl and a horse. We’d really like to know.

Susan says, “Is this her first encounter with a horse? With his head bent low to the hay, they are literally eye-to-eye. He seems to be paying her no mind, but she is totally focused on him, watchful. I wonder if she was first introduced to horses through My Little Pony?  This horse is the real deal – complete with smells, buckles rattling, and jaws moving – and not a plush pink toy.   Will she remember the feel of that warm, strong neck moving under her tiny, brave hand.”

Lucia says: “I must admit, I watched this little girl as she walked delighted and fearless among the horses. I was glad to have captured the instant she raised her hand to pet the horse’s lowered head. She looked comfortable and not intimidated by these huge animals. She was the opposite of the stereotype timid little girl. I was moved by her courage. Brave girls make my heart sing.”

Two very different reactions to this photo. What does it say to you? Think about how you might use this photo and your story to enhance a presentation.
