A powerful conversation is on display here.

Susan says, “All dog owners will recognize what is happening in the photograph. This dog is putting the mojo on his owner. Making demands. Laying on the guilt. Putting his self-control to the test. Can he withstand this expertly made request. The man, on the other hand, is shoveling in the food fast with a scowl on his face. He hasn’t even taken time to sit down. He just wants to get that food down and out of sight of his dog so he can say, ‘See? Got nothing for you! Now give up with the begging.’ This is the classic example of the push/pull. Go away. Give me. Stop. Come on. All without a word spoken. This photo, with its hint of humor, would be a great conversation starter in a presentation.”

Lucia says, “I couldn’t resist this little dog trying to psych-out the guy with the food. She’s so little but is putting out a lot of power. Look at her stance. She probably thinks she’s a big dog. This photo could start a discussion, not only on communication as Susan has said, but also on how we see ourselves and how that effects those around us. The dog, although little, puts out a big message because she thinks she’s big. The message starts with the presenter. How you exhibit yourself conveys a lot about what you’re saying.”
