This is a terrific photo of an industrial site on a river’s edge. What ideas can come from this?

Industry is, at its heart, the realization of process. What processes are working here. Two huge piles of sawdust dwarf the tractor working on the left. But is sawdust the end product or the remainders from the creation of another end product. Is all the tubing flowing down to the river, a conduit for the removal of the sawdust or is it used to bring something else from the river into the plant. The only sign of activity in the photo is the tractor and the smoke or steam coming from one of the stacks. Where are the workers? What is this all about? The more I look, the more curious I become. There are hints that materials are lifted, slid, perhaps heated,  – but for what and why. What a great discussion of the idea of industry could result from a photo like this.
