This is a modest little photograph, but it can pack a wallop if used effectively in a presentation.

Susan says, “Is someone just not paying attention? It’s winter. Why are the summer chairs still on the porch and now covered with snow? Are we witnessing procrastination. Or maybe someone needs to cool off or enjoys suffering frostbitten feet. A discussion on any of these abstract ideas could make good use of this photograph.”

Lucia says, “I did a double take, I laughed, and then I captured the scene. I loved that everything was so out of place. This was too good to pass up. I imaged my neighbors sitting in their beach chairs in the snow, pretending to be at the beach during a summer day.”

Using a photo to illustrate an abstract concept makes the discussion more memorable and even humorous. How would you use this photo.
