Here’s is a view of the Portland skyline I often see on bike rides. On this occasion, I was participating in the North Portland Sunday Parkway. These Parkways occur once a month in different sections of the city during the summer. Streets are blocked off for people to walk, ride bikes, roller skate, or skateboard, with stops at several parks along the way. In this photo I wanted to capture the cityscape with the parked bike in the foreground to give a sense of the day. I was happy to have gotten the bike rider just as he entered the frame, adding motion to the still life.
