One of the best places to create an abstract photo is from an airplane window seat. As you can see here, the canyons and rivers of Utah look like a painting. The colors in this photo are magnificent. The shifts are well defined from the lighter pastels in the upper portion of the scene to the bolder shades in the lower part. Adding a dramatic effect is the strong black line meandering through the canvas. Especially in the lower section, you can see the 3-dimensional aspect that looks as if an artist applied thick paint with a palette knife creating peaks and swirls.
