Here’s a little fun with motion. Everything in this photo is static and in focus – the woman on the edge of the frame, the shoreline, and the buildings in the background – except for the bike rider. I did not pan and follow him. I held my camera steady. I used a slow shutter speed to capture him as he zoomed by. He’s easy to miss because the motion streaks make him look ghostly. Even his bike is barely visible with only small snatches of it appearing.
