I’ve been working on taking more photos of people on the street. As I’ve mentioned before, this is not an easy for me. For now, I’m working on capturing people from far away, in motion, in silhouette, and from behind. I’m also working on scenes that imply a human element (a park bench or something left behind like a candy wrapper). Here I was able to capture the couple waiting for the light to change without pushing my comfort zone too far. I loved the colorful umbrella on the gray day. But I felt the cars were a distraction, so I desaturated the background in Lightroom (my photo processing software of choice) to keep the focus on the couple and their umbrella.
