Still under construction, the Tillikum Crossing is Portland’s newest bridge across the Willamette River. When completed in September (can’t wait), it will be the largest car-free transit bridge in the U.S. Only light rail, streetcars, bikes and pedestrians will be allowed to use it. It’s a very picturesque bridge with shapes that, to me, look like sails. Instead of capturing photos of the bridge spanning the river, I chose to compose this close-up because of the strong lines and triangular shapes against the blue sky and the clouds reflecting the color of the setting sun.
