I played around with this photo for a while. At first, I thought of centering the shot. Then I noticed the fading sunlight hitting the left side of the arches, creating sharp edges. So I moved my camera to capture them and made sure the receding arches were all in focus. At first, I tried to zoom in to crop out the evidence of repair work in the foreground. Then, decided the splotches gave the cathedral-like arches a vulnerability that resulted in a more compelling composition. #photoaday
