The Hawthorne Bridge disappears into the fog and creates a beautiful leading line across the river toward downtown. I made sure to frame the photo with the reeds in the foreground to add a sense of depth. I especially like the subtle shifts in the pastels at the top and the dark hues at the bottom because they give the scene a painterly feel. I must tell you that I created a black and white version of this photo and like it as much as this one. It has a very different feel, though. Maybe I’ll post it tomorrow. Then you can decide which one you like better. Stay tuned.
