My neighbors around the corner go all out at this time of year and light up their house. It’s quite an array of colors, flashing lights, and moving statues on the lawn. I wanted to show this display in a different light (no pun intended). So I grabbed a small section with a close-up of a little tree completely wrapped in lights. From afar, the tree is a glow of white light. Up close we see the contribution of each tiny bulb. As in life, each individual contributes to the make up of his or her community. Whether if feels like it or not, we all play a part. In other words, if one person in a choir of 100 voices doesn’t sing, it becomes a choir of 99 voices. So we should participate in life wholeheartedly.
