While on a walk yesterday, I saw this gem on the sidewalk. Because of the angle of the early morning sunlight the shadow of the straight stem is unexpectedly curved. But the real highlight is the frost under the leaf. It creates a perfect replica of the leaf’s shape to form a white drop shadow. I feel lucky that I happen to be looking down the right moment. This little jewel could have been easy to miss. Again, it’s about timing, isn’t it?
