Yesterday, I promised showing you another area of the frontier elm. Here the leaves are further along in the fall color process. In this close up view, the out of focus leaves add color to the background, as well as depth to the photo. Imagine seeing the seeing in focus leaves on a solid green background. They would look like they were stuck on a flat surface. This shows how attention to negative space (the area around the main subject) is important in creating a photo.
