This is the outside view of a bike path trestle. The same aesthetic that gives the structure strength also gives it to the photo. This is about repetition and shape. Of course, the repetition alone is appealing, but the curve in the trestle adds to it. I’m sure this trestle could have been build to go straight across the ravine, but the curve makes it more fun for a bike rider and in turn more pleasing as a photographic subject. I like the way the structure disappears into the trees. It makes me want to find out what’s around the bend.
