I could have captured the whole moss covered cottage for this photo, which would have resulted in a satisfying scene. Instead I zoomed in on this window to create a stronger image to tell the story of abandonment and neglect. Here we get a good look at the pealing wall and the splintered wood of the shutter. I like the added value of how the different shades of green created by the moss, paint, and shadows stand out in this close up. Tell me what you think in the comments.
