Good design makes the difference between a successful presentation and a mediocre one. Bad design is a plague upon a presentation and will bring you nothing but trouble.
Susan says, “One of the most overlooked elements in design is texture. Looking at these frost nipped leaves shows you why. Texture can add sensuality to an image as no other design element can. These leaves fairly purr. Don’t you want to touch them? The texture has also muted the colors, softened them so they are almost, but not quite, monotone. Lucia has used a very short focal length to blur the background, bringing into sharp focus only the foremost leaves. Again this creates changing textures and adds the startling effect of outlining the background leaves in white. This is a really lovely photo on many levels.”
