listening_dogI have been using a really helpful service for the past several months and I thought I’d let you in on it.  It’s called Google Alerts from, of course, Google. While Google offers many services, this isn’t one I’ve heard too much about. It’s a free service that allows you to track activity on-line on any topic that interests you. So whether you’re a trekkie and don’t want to miss any discussions about Wookiees or you are writing a book on sand sharks and you want to stay current on the latest research on their habitats or you want to find the newest videos recipes for chocolate chip cookies… Google Alerts can deliver directly to your inbox.

You can choose to be notified of books, discussions, blogs, videos, news or everything source of information on your topic. Delivery can be daily, weekly or instantaneously. Google will even filter the content to send you “only the best results” whatever that might mean to Google. This is a great service to keep track of what is hot, where and with whom. Check it out. www.Google.com/alerts.
