Running through a fountain, this boy had the right idea of how to keep cool on a hot summer day. I wanted to capture him has he emerged from the wash (no pun intended) of white water. In my mind’s eye I envisioned the boy as a bit clearer, more emerged from the wall of water. If I had released the shutter a nano-second later, I would have achieved that vision. Instead I ended up with something quite different. And something I like a lot better. Now the boy is a ghostly figure behind thousands of drops of water. It looks as if we we’re seeing him through frosted glass.
