Never underestimate the resilience of spring flowers.

Photo of crocuses bring to mind how we can learn resilience from nature.

Crocuses are known for their resilience. They are one of the first flowers to bloom in the spring. They even pop-up through snow. Here are three crocuses in full bloom. Earlier in the day as the rain battered them, the flowers simply closed up and weathered the storm. By the time I made this photo, the crocuses, with raindrops still on their petals, opened up to show off their beauty.

Learning Resilience from Nature

These three lovely flowers made me think about how we can learn from nature. Sometimes we need to close-up (as the crocuses did during the rainstorm) and fortify ourselves when times get rough. I see these rough times as a chance to re-energize and make it possible face adversity. We should never underestimate the value of taking the time to rejuvenate. Afterwards we can open up (again like the crocuses) and carry on with determination and strength.
