As I’ve mentioned before, I like reflections. So I spent some time capturing lights reflected on the water as I walked along the river. When I saw the person standing on the pier, I knew I wanted her in the scene. Yes, the colorful lights in the windows and on the water are lovely, but it’s that solo person that makes this image stand out. Although nightfall was well on its way, there was still enough light to capture the person’s reflection, which added depth to her part of the scene.
Reflections of a Different Color
To add to its appeal, it’s as if there were two photos here. You can see a monochrome in the bottom half where the person stands on the pier and a multi-colored image at the top. Either half would have been a good, but together they make a more compelling image.
