In fairness, I guess, he really is only doing one thing, but the precarious stance, the tricky bit of rope-a-dope keeping him safe, the chainsaw and that there is no ground in sight makes me believe that he should rethink this whole deal.  Or maybe this is just a very informative picture of the intricate process involved in taking down a tree. In an urban environment, I don’t think you can just chop it down, as Washington (didn’t really) did to the cherry tree. You have to whittle it down from the top, a bit at a time. Man against nature. Here is an intriguing, captivating photo for many uses. It is perhaps best suited to illustrate a cautionary tale.”

Lucia says, “Or it could be about doing the right thing even if it’s difficult. This tree supplied apples for many pies, cobbles, jams, and butters over the years. But it was dying and posing a danger with falling limbs. It was with a heavy heart that I decided it was time to do something about it. So I hired Honl Tree Care to take it down. This guy may have looked in a precarious position, but he knew what he was doing. ‘Leave it up to the professionals’ is what I say.”
