My friend, Marc, pointed this scene out to me as we made our way up the Oneonta Gorge. As I mentioned in previous posts, the gorge is very narrow allowing only filtered and slanted sunlight to reach the lower regions. This makes for great lighting. The golden glow creates a warm setting and the long, delicate shadows of the ferns seem to extend the fronds. This was a lovely find. Good spotting, Marc!
